In 1878, a 20-year-old from Turin, Silviano Venchi, demonstrated his profound love for chocolate notably. He spent all his savings on two bronze cauldrons and set out on an adventurous experiment. And 140 years later, his decision paid off.
After numerous experiments in his apartment and at a small place on Via Degli Artisti in Borgo Vaniglia, his creation of Nougatine, made with Piedmont hazelnuts, chopped, caramelized, and coated in extra-dark chocolate, was a success beyond what he could have ever imagined. So it was no surprise that Venchi Spa, known as "the most elegant chocolate shop in Piedmont" and "Purveyor to the Royal Household", was born from this.
